Rita Ackermann is the founder and owner of Urban Dezign. Rita has been an interior decorator since 1987 when her first project was to refurbish a workers cottage property. Since then many properties, businesses and community organisations have utilised Rita's signature of style, balance and harmony. Rita is passionate about decorating and styling homes, enhancing small businesses and assisting not for profit organisations.

With a diverse employment background, having worked both in Europe and in Australia, Rita combines innovation, imagination and individuality to implement solutions.

Born and raised in Europe, Rita has travelled extensively and arrived in Australia in 1978 and after living in Melbourne for 3 years decided to make Brisbane her permanent home.

• Advance course in Interior Decorating and Design - Beaumont School

• Feng Shui I and II with Grand Master Lo's School of Feng Shui and Destiny (Hong Kong)

• Professional Member of Queensland Interior Decorators Association (QIDA) Inc
